getting my hands on hairstylin’!

long time coming really, but i finally started to learn doing some simple hair updos – started with a basic, “romantic-ish” messy bun with instruction from my good friend, kristina of lepique beauty – check them out! their work is amazing.

i’m very much looking forward to braiding techniques and learning how to achieve those hollywood waves almost every bride asks for.  kristina is really helping me to expand my hair styling skills, and i can’t wait to get better at it. in the mean time – check out my IG and look for the post during my first try at hair! heck, just give me a  follow if you’re not already!  @purrplequeen

bridal makeup trial // felicia

felicia asked for a golden-brown look, that’s somewhat natural-smokey. I used the ABH modern renaissance + tartlette in bloom palettes and added some red cherry lashes #117 to create this look for her, which i am glad she loved and wants this for her wedding. by the way, hair updo by: carlyne regis @ salon stilo. what a gorgeous bride-to-be! ❤️

bridal makeup trial // carmi

carmi wanted a natural smokey eye to try out. we tried both with a highlighted/glowing face and an all matte/less shine look — she decided to go with the matte finish which I also thought would work great for an outdoor summer wedding 🙂

I instructed her on how she was going to present this, and I’ve told people how amazed I was with the outcome on how she completely stuck with the step by step process  of the video as soon as the camera started rolling.  Now go watch this cuteness:  Makeup, the Zoë way Continue reading
